LAYING THE FOUNDATIONS FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES AT EARLY STAGE OF LIFE
Multipurpose Youth Centre is a registered Non Profit and Public Benefit Organization located in Manguzi, KwaNgwanase. We provide valuable services to communities in need in a remote region of far northern KwaZulu-Natal which borders Mozambique. There is very little industry in the area and unemployment is high. We commenced our work in the region in 2019 to address the overwhelming HIV epidemic affecting 4 in 10 people in the community and resulting in thousands of orphaned children.
We have grown considerably in both capacity and experience and today provide a number of developmental programs targeting all age groups and relevant to our community.
Our Approach
Approach to Serve the Community
Being an NGO operating in a rural and impoverished region of the Province, we aim to capacitate the organization through meaningful collaborations and partnerships. This year we have visited a number of organizations to share knowledge and build mutually beneficial relationships. We will be exploring program and partner opportunities to increase our reach and effectiveness.
